Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu at approximately 6:30 AM. Enjoy a scenic two-hour drive through the Crocker Range while catching your first glimpse of the majestic Mount Kinabalu.
Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park Headquarters (1,866m), complete your climber registration, collect your packed lunch, and meet your certified mountain guide. Transfer to Timpohon Gate, the official starting point of your climb.
The trek to Panalaban covers approximately 6 kilometres through Borneo's unique mountain ecosystems. Along the route, rest shelters allow you to take breaks and enjoy the spectacular surroundings. Notice the changing vegetation from tropical rainforest to mossy forest and alpine terrain.
Most climbers reach Panalaban (3,272m) in approximately 4 to 6 hours. After checking in, rest and acclimatise while enjoying panoramic views above the clouds.

Pre-Dawn Summit Push - Low's Peak - Descent - Kota Kinabalu

Wake at 2:00 AM for the summit push. Using headlamps, navigate the granite plateau following fixed ropes along the iconic granite slabs of Mount Kinabalu to reach Low's Peak (4,095m) just as the sun breaks over the horizon.
Witness one of the most spectacular sunrises in Southeast Asia from the roof of Malaysia. Your guide will take photos and ensure your safety on the exposed summit plateau.
Begin your descent back to Timpohon Gate (approximately 3-5 hours). Return transfer to Kota Kinabalu, arriving by late afternoon with your Mount Kinabalu Climber Certificate.
